XMTG Firearms Training Academy

 This 5 day 50 hour Basic Sniper School  is designed specifically for the Law Enforcement and Military operator that will be deployed as snipers. This class is a basic to intermediate level class and will cover topics from rifle set up to hide construction to stalking.  You will be shooting from as close as 7 yards out to 1000 yards in this class.  Upon completion of this class you will have a solid knowledge base to deploy as a LE sniper for your agency.  It is recommended that you bring your food and water for the day.  Lunch breaks will be short and it is a 40 minute round trip to a restaurant from the range.  This course is eligible for TCOLE credit.  If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us.  We normally conduct two basic sniper schools each year.  One in February and one in the fall. 

Needed Equipment

*Eye protection and hearing protection

*Body armor, soft or plate carrier 

*Helmet if you have one

*gas mask

*Appropriate clothing   for the weather

*All gear that you would deploy with

*Handgun/ Holster-No Blackhawk Serpa Holsters Allowed

*3 Pistol Magazines

*100 rounds of handgun ammunition

*Rifle capable of 1 MOA accuracy/bolt or gas

*Optic with tactical turrets and Mil type reticle, Mil/Mil,  MOA/MOA, Mil/MOA

*Bi-pod

* Sling

* Weapon tri-pod

*Rear bag

*Ballistic application/BallisticsARC

*860 rounds of match factory rifle ammunition

*Data book

*Backpack

*Ghillie suit/sniper tog etc.
