The Scoped Carbine Course is a 2-day (16 Hour) class that is designed for the person utilizing a magnified optic on their self-defense carbine.   This course will focus on utilizing the scoped carbine at CQB distances as well as distances out to 600 yards.  The primary focus of this course will be to teach the student how to use their reticle in the optic to speed up their engagement times at extended distance.  More time will be spent shooting the scoped carbine like a precision rifle from the prone position as well as improvised positions and tri-pods.  There will be half a day of utilizing your scoped carbine for CQB engagements.  During the registration process please provide via email your optic and reticle that you will be utilizing in the course. This is not a course for someone that is new to operating a carbine and a handgun.

Rifle set up

Fundamentals of precision marksmanship

Zeroing

Ballistic Apps

External, Internal, and Terminal Ballistics

Improvised shooting positions

Tri-pod use

Equipment List:

Carbine with 3 or more magazines

Magnified optic.  A tree style reticle will work best but bring what you have.

BUIS, 45-degree offset, or back up red dot optic

400 rounds of duty/self-defense/match ammunition

200 rounds of training ammunition

Bi-pod

Weapon Tri-pod

Rear bags for your rifle

Soft Armor – if you have it (optional)

Plate Carrier – if you have it (optional)

Pistol belt with holster, pistol, and 3 magazines

200 rounds of handgun ammunition

Eye protection

Hearing protection

Clothing appropriate for the weather

Knee pads (nice to have)

Any additional patrol/self-defense gear you may need

Food and water for each day
